At wemapshare we are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Other than an email address we do not prompt you for any information that may identify you.

We are committed to collecting as little personal information from you as possble and to ensure that this information is secure. As you can see in the address bar, this site uses secure SSL encryption via HTTPS (SSL explanation and video).
Your password is also securely encrypted and cannot be deciphered.


At wemapshare we use a cookie to remember that you're logged in. That's all. We don't store any other information in cookies and your cookie stays in its own special "jar" on your computer. It isn't shared.

Volatility of tracking information

Naturally, for our system to work we access the user's current location (as obtained via the GPS hardware on their phone) and we share this with the people they opted to share it with. However this is only for the duration of the trip or until the user logs out or exits the app. At any point in time, we only store the user's current location, not their location history.

We will not and cannot sell, distribute or lease any personal information to third parties, because we simply do not have it! The exception is your email address, which we promise not to pass on to anyone, unless we are required by law to do so.
